Blades Fall in 6

After holding a 2-1 series lead, the Mark’s Work Wearhouse Mount Pearl Junior Blades lost their next 3 games and ultimately lost the series 4-2 to the Celtics.

The Celtics will now go one to play the St.John’s Caps in a rematch of last years final. The Caps swept the Southern Shore in their semi-final series.

The Semi-Final Series between the Mark’s Work Wearhouse Mount Pearl Junior Blades and the Mask Security Celtics did not start out the way the Blades had hoped. The Blades dropped a 6-1 decision to the Celtics. Mark Hand had the lone goal for the Blades, while Daniel Cadigan led the Celtics with 3 goals.

Game 2 is set for Friday night at O’Hehir Arena, with game 3 returning to the Glacier Sunday night Mar 6th, game time is 7:30pm.

The semi-final round of the St.John’s Junior Hockey League between the Mark’s Work Wearhouse Mount Pearl Junior Blades and the Mask Security Junior Celtics is set to begin this Wednesday, March 2nd,  at the Glacier. The game time is 7:15pm.

The rest of the schedule will be released at a later time.

Blades Move Past Renegades

On Wednesday night the Mark’s Work Wearhouse Mount Pearl Junior Blades defeated the CBR Renegades 5-2, and in doing so won the best of seven series 4-1. The Blades now await the outcome of the Flyers and Breakers series, in which the Breakers hold a 3-1 advantage. If Southern Shore hold on and win, the Blades will play the Celtics, if Trinity-Placentia can comeback the Blades will play Trinity-Placentia.

Schedule Change

The Mark’s Work Wearhouse Mount Pearl Junior Blades  have moved their home game from Friday night to Wednesday night, Feb 23rd at 8:00pm. Come out to the Glacier to show your support.

Blades Take Commanding Lead

This past weekend, the Mark’s Work Wearhouse Mount Pearl Junior Blades split their games with the CBR Renegades and now hold a 3 games t0 1 series lead. On Saturday night in Kelligrews the Renegades came back from a 3-0 deficit to win 5-3. On Sunday night, led by 5 goals from Aaron Schwartz, the Blades won 7-4.

Game 5 is set for Friday night, 7:30pm at the Glacier in Mount Pearl.

In other league action the St.John’s Caps and Celtics both swept their respective series, with CBN and Avalon. While, the 6th seed Southern Shore Breakers hold a 3 games to 1 edge over the Trinity-Placentia Flyers.

The Mark’s Work Wearhouse Mount Pear Junior Blades won both of their games this weekend, in taking a lead in their best of 7 series with CBR. The Blades won the first game 12-3 and then defeated CBR at home Sunday night, 7-3. The Series will continue Saturday night in Kelligrews with game 4 being played at the Glacier Sunday night.
